Completely different. That means modelling two buildings separately

Dear experienced fellows After completing the model in Etabs, what's the next step for foundation design. What i have learnt is that: 1- Do we have to import the Edb file into SAFE? I didn't get this point of modelling foundation in Etabs coz i have learnt that foundation is modelled in SAFE only 2- we have to get the forces value i.e Factored axial loads and bi axial moments from reactions in ETABS and design foundation in SAFE accordingly? Thnx in anticipation

im attaching screenshot for the beams b/w grids F &H. im unable to make out the three values 0.9,0.2,0.9 and 0.6,0.6,0.4. These values show the top and bottom reinforcement values, how to interpret these values?

It would be nice if you could elaborate the same case with beams reinforcement.

Thnx for your valuable comments.

LIVE load option in static load cases is assigned when we have parking load on floors, otherwise assign REDUCIBLE LIVE load option for normal load occupancy i.e movement of people, luggage etc.

Aoa dear experienced fellows. Can anyone let me know how can we do the detailing of a 15"x30" rcc column with 4.5 in2 of Ast. Do we have to use ACI SECTION 7.7 Equations for the purpose or any other fomula or thumb rules etc. Any suggestions in this regards are highly appreciate. Thnx

Dear all,i found out the reason why column reinforcement was 1℅ in all columns and it was that i had erroneously assigned oversized column dimensions in some columns. But my second querry yet remains unanswered that is whether the building be modelled as a whole or separated into two portions in order to avoid errors.thnx n regards -

Dear waqar I'm uploading architecture and edb file of the model.i have separated the building by providing expansion joint.the file in etabs model is one portion of the building, I'm working on it.secondly if we dont want to provide expansion joint thn wat to do? coz when i model the entire building then lots of errors are coming so i separated the building now there aren't any errors.all suggestions will be highly appreciated.thnx n regards STATIC MODEL.EDB STATIC MODEL.$ET AMMALGAMATION PLAN-Model.pdf -
R.c Hibbeler's structural analysis is also worth reading and enjoying 😁
