Assalam Alaikum At Our Project specification for concrete is 3000 psi (cub) We used normal ration 1:2:4 & checked the cube at site the result was ok.What should be the acceptable result of core test for this to justify this specification the length of core is two time of its diameter we would like to have u reply with complete reference. thanks

Respected All Define the properties of Tor bar & deformed bar according to there usage in structural member. I noted normally consultant suggest tor bar for beams & slab reinforcement & deformed bars for stirrups & longitudinal bars of columns what,s philosophy behind this factor.in case of equal grade of both type of steel what will be select.is it right that tor bar is better in tension than deformed bars. i checked in drawings that longitudinal bars of columns up to 20 mm dia normally used tor steel & above 20 mm dia deformed bars are used. I have lot of experience construction of poultry shed ,for slab commonly structural engineer design 4" thick & steel reinforcement 6mm dia bars @ 6" c/c(it will be 0.18 to 0.20 %) i check that minimum cracks occur in the slab but they cannot cause of any mishap a poultry shed normally having 22000 sft covered area ,problem is that if they follow the minimum limits 0.60 % it will be highly effected on cost & client move to TT slab or prefabricated structure.It will be a loss for contractor & construction labor. what will be solution of this problem.

1) Rizwam mirza is famous for design of poultry structure (Feed Mill,hatchery,& poultry farm) in pakistan I think 80% poultry structure in Pakistan is design by Rizwan mirza 2) AA associate.(karachi) is best firm of structure design for industrial project (textile, steel mill,warehouse etc) in private industrial sector many project is design by AA associate .there drawing are very easy for field engineer with more detail.i think AA is top firm of structure design in pakistan after nespak 3) Akbar associate , Iqbal uzair Associate, Abdul Razaq associate is well known for structure design.

why crushing strength of concreat cylender is less then 25% of concreat cube
