Steel column base plate connections are very important in transferring the column loads to the foundation. Often design engineers model and analyze the structure precisely using available software such as SAP2000, STAAD, ETABS, MIDAS, ... but in the design of base plate connections , they use simple methods that have not the correct calculation in comparison with the real behavior of base plates. So, I want to introduce you, a professional software for the modeling, analysis, and design of steel column base connections that is different in comparison to the available softwares. ColumnBase is integrated software for analysis and design of column-base connections using three-dimensional finite element modeling.This software provides a three dimensional model of connection parts (including foundation, grout, column, base plate, stiffeners, etc.) for finite element analysis, and by applying contact modeling analysis to connection parts in simultaneous loading cases, analyzes connection model and finally applies its results according to designing handbooks and standards. Outputs of this software have been proved by the most reliable laboratory experiments, and its accuracy is incomparable. Visual and user-friendly interface, easy to use and precise results. Analysis results verified by several valid experimental tests and realistic simulation of base plate behavior is performed by using it. Analysis results are used for the automatic design of connection components according to standards/codes.
