  1. Pls explain auto mesh option and divide shell option. when I select auto mesh option etabs show mesh 1x1 but the slab is not divided by 1x1 in actual, but when I divide shell by 1x1 it actually shows that slab is split into an area of 1x1. which type of meshing is correct in every situation. what type of meshing we should do. pls explain. I got really confused.
  2. Hi I am having warning type "cnstr" in my etab program, can any body guide what this warning is about and how to end it. TIA
  3. Attached are two screenshots of the analysis of a continuous beam. One represents drop of loads from slabs with incorrect meshing(Auto meshing) and the other represents with correct meshing(manual meshing). Apparently, there is a big difference in the analysis results of the two mentioned by the circles. I posted it here to get further elaborations from the members to understand ETABS in a better way. Hope we can dig it more.

A0A hope all will be fine why we use meshing in modal? i was doing a project of six story having shear ,without any mesh its deflection was about 2.5" and when i meshed both wall and slabs and also apply restrained to slab than the deflection decreases tremendously.? is this because of meshing or restraints or something else .i am using etabs v16 please guide me thank you
  5. ENGINEERS; I WILL LOOSE MY BRAIN FROM ETABS. I DECIDED TO MAKE MANUAL MESHING FROM AREA ELEMENTS BESIDE EACH OTHER AND EVERY HING WAS FINE . BUT AFTER DEVISION SAY 7*7 ELEMNTS FOR EVERY BIG ELEMENT AND MAKING ETABS CHECH..................THEN 500 ERROR MESSAGE THAT ALL ELEMNTS ARE CLOSE TO EACH OTHER. WHAT ARE GOING...... SOMEONE TELL ME PLEASE...... I WILL LOST MY WORK
  6. Salam everyone, i want to attach my etabs model to learn about the problems in it,i meshed the shell elements but when i run it there apears to be warning masseges about lost digits of accuracy. my etabs version is 9.7.4 thank you. model.rar
  7. السلام عليكم What is the best way for doing mesh in Etabs 2013 ?? and is there any difference from older versions ??
