  1. id do it with having and studying concepts of structural dynamics dnt wana perform it just on any software,i have not studied dynamics yet but have competent supervisor who did and he is willing to guide anyways,i have whole year to do my project so that i can study n build my concepts of dynamics with my supervisor at my own as uni doesnt have dynamics in the syllabus list!!!

  2. structural dynamics is course at undergraduate level in good universities around the world and should be taught at that level so that they can better participate in design office. Linear Time history analysis is in their range, non linear is out of range. This applies better in OECD countries where quality of primary/secondry education is lot better than Pakistan. Anyway it will be very difficult for one to justify this thesis if one does havn't been taught structural dynamics. If you are considering to run TH analysis on ETABS without going through concepts,I would say better don't do it.

  3. i think undergrad is for basics...not for THA advance topic! Instead of THA they should tell students about more load combinations instead of just 1.4D+1.7L (old) and tell them about other codes too (just basics) but THA is really outside the scope of undergrad! it needs basics of theory and understanding and then practice. who in undergrad will learn such an advanced topic like THA of only STRUCTURAL course? when he is also studying geotech, transportaion, computer, steel, buisness, ethics,,,,etc

  5. i think it should be done at that level so to have at least some idea about earthquake engineering and also for the risk assessment of structures. Should go for it...
