  2. You draw segments with continuous condition like Makhzumi said. You can check your BMD and SFD and it will show you that as a continuous member. CSI programs (SAP and ETABS) do not analyze curved elements per se. Nevertheless, you can approximate a curved beam by using a series of straight segments. I mean, approximate an arc by using an open polygon. Be careful, if the lenght of the segments is shorter than their depht, concrete design will raise a shear overstress warning.

  4. here is the jpg of the cad drawing .i have one problem to draw the curved beam and secondly if u check in the drawing beams are at the edge of column so do i draw then in center in etabs or same as in the drawing ,if i take them in center of column will it effect the analysis?

  5. I would not say anything about best structural design firms, but I would name the structural engineer, who impressed most: Rizwan Mirza. He runs the firm by the name of Rizwan Mirza Consulting Engineers, Lahore.
