  1. Check following: Design code assigned in the software RCC design manual of the software and find how it calculates this for the design code of your interest If you still reach at the same conclusion, ignore these results. The software can do that because of some bug.

  2. Spring stiffness is provided in geotechnical report. If you don't have that, you can see other relations; such as in Bowel's book. Here, in middle east, we take modulus of subgrade reaction = SBC x 100 for isolated foundations and SBC x 120 for rafts. SBC is in units of kN/m². SBC=Soil Bearing Capacity

  3. Waqar Saleem Bhai, I would suggest u read this document. last month i was also very much confused regarding this spring option in softwares. This document helped me much. I wil upload other documents too when i will find them. But this is good... In last topic of this document, u will get to know how to calculate stiffness of soil spring using bearing capacity... The spring elements were used (in mathematical model) in the ealriest attempt of modelling soil under foundation, where only vertical displacements ( settlement) were main corncern for engineer, and these displacements were related to the bearing capacity through modulus of subgrade reaction. Piles can also be modelled by using springs in mathematical behaviour; interaction between poil and soil can be modelled by using spring elements in mathematical model." because of your highlighted wording i asked this question.i know roller is roller and spring is spring sir
