In the case of the beam, there's an option of "Reinforcement to be checked" and Reinforcement to be Designed" while in the case of the beam it is not...
Also in the case of a column, we have to check the mark "design" option or "check" option...… Need Guidance

Salam, it depends on either you are designing the section or your are checking the provided reinforcements.

Hi - I have two questions regarding confined masonry.
1 - As you know, in confined masonry we provide confining elements (beams) at lintel level - So these confining elements (beams) at lintel level shall be continued throughout and tied with the confining columns? Because i have seen in practice that at lintel level the provide confining beam that is under the door/window and continued for 6" on both the side and then it is ended i.e. not continued and tied to the confining columns.
2 - We provide confining columns at the joints where walls meet/end. At the doors and windows, shall we provide confining columns at the both sides/edges of the doors and windows or not?-
what is the minimum requirement of code for the tie-columns. any document or refrence?

Why do you keep hitting the "Report" button?

@rana i have not been hitting the report button, i have been receiving message of report from guest continuously without any issue. i reported this to Umar sab and he have disabled the guest reporting i guess.
