i have 3 generator sets with wet weight of 1478kg each. foundation pad is 0.2m x 9.38m x 4.215x respectively. it is installed in genset room at 3rd floor of a building with 4000psi slab density. do you have any equation for genset foundation design, when the foundation is to be installed in an existing floor slab? or how can i calculate if the genset pad is safe in that 4000 psi slab. thank you. hoping for your response -
Salam, Dear Engineers, I am working a on design of flour mill, it has rolling machines which have extensive vibrations as i observed in a working mill visit, how to add this effect on slab. Do i increase the LL by some percentage to cater this effect? How to add its long term effect? Regards

AoA, Hope you all will be fine and in good health. What factors, codes and limitations should be kept in mind while designing a two story (Ground+1) industrial RC structure. There are 3 machines (12-ton weight each) on first floor and about 120 psf is the area load. Thanks -
