Kindly help me in solving these two problems..these are from previous commission of works and services department. 1. Design a lintel over 2m window which is positioned in the central lenth of a long wall 20 cm thick. Height of masonary over lintel is 4 m. Adopt c= 50 kg/m2 , t=1400 kg/m2 m=18 . Density of masonary is 1920 kg/m3. Check for shear stress and bond stress 2. Design a square RCC footing subjected to a load of 80 t, column is 50 cm x 50 cm in plan. Bearing capacity of soil is 10 t/m2. Adopt c = 50 kg/m2, t= 1400 kg/cm2, m=18. Check if it is safe in shear and bond stress.
