  1. How can we model masonry wall as strut in sap2000. In etabs when defining material you have option for masonry & you can input all its properties, (I used one presented in FEMA356). & then assigned strut as bracing. The problem is there is no masonry material available in sap2000, so when I modified concrete to represent masonry & then used section designer option to made strut, the results obtained by both software didn't match.
  2. @Ayesha if i have certain reinforcement ratios and detailing how to input that before running in analysis. The video you have shared doesn't tell anything about beam R/f
  3. Thank you but i have already gone through this. I just wanted to know if I have certain reinforcement ratio & spacing then how i can give that as an input . can this be done by using overrides for ductile beam commands or there is any other way. actually its not clear to me that in what terms you fill thses over rides for ductile beam command. what units..etc
  4. SAP2000 has this option for beam reinforcement & I am not able to understand it. Lets say if i have specified reinforcement ratio which i have got from conventional formula e=As/bd & shear reinforcement. How provide that specific ratio using these command as shown in attached picture. PS can anyone tell me how to provide stirrups in section designer option.
